The Cleveland Play House (CPH) relocated to Playhouse Square and calls the Allen Theatre its home stage. The heritage façade of the Allen, with its illuminated entrance awning, did not allow for CPH to easily display its brand.
Karen Skunta, who is on the Board of CPH, volunteered to design a signage solution pro bono. She and her team respected the historic architecture by employing the seven windows above the entrance doors.
A low profile LED box, with direct print graphics, was fabricated for each pane and fits precisely behind the glass. The electrical is located inside the foyer, unaffected by the weather.
Cleveland Play House is now visible to both pedestrians and drivers – day and night.
